Collaborating in a Space

  • Collaborators work together in a Space to create insights and engineered data products. The Space owner will establish the specification of the Space i.e. the compute, data products, tools and users. If you are not the Space owner yourself then make sure you know how to contact the owner as that person is responsible for inviting collaborators to join a Space and adding or removing data products.

  • Each collaborator has their own compute environment so there is never any conflict with other collaborators. You can do your work at any time.

  • You do not need to wait for all collaborators to accept an invitation in order to start work in the Space.

  • Make sure you have the necessary subscriptions with the collaborative space. If you are missing a subscription, please reach out to the data product owner (they can be identified in the product description).

  • If you do not have the necessary subscriptions to the data products within the collaborative Space, the Space appears as locked.

  • Share your tables, notebooks, queries and other files with your fellow collaborators within a Space.

  • As a collaborator you can leave that Space at any time. As the owner of a collaborative Space you must pass ownership to another user in your Organization before you can leave the Space.

...

  • A data product creator should be considered the owner of that data product. This person should make sure they manage the visibility and subscriptions of their data products(s). To enable users to know who the data product owner is, the owner should include their name or email address in the data product description and subscription plans. For more on that, see the TutorialHow to Publish a Product.
